2024 NFL Draft specialist rankings

Top Punter: Tory Taylor, Iowa

Easily the top specialist in the 2024 NFL Draft is Iowa punter Tory Taylor. Taylor has all the skills to be an All-Pro punter including pin-point accuercey having placed 45% of his punts inside the 20-yard line last season. He also has a booming leg and no trouble punting in the cold Iowa winters.

Overall Rankings (NFL Draft grade I give the player)

1. Tory Taylor, Iowa (fourth round)

2. Ryan Sanborn, Texas (sixth round)

3. Matthew Hayball, Vanderbilt (seventh round)

4. Austin McNamara, Texas Tech (seventh round)

Top Kicker: Joshua Karty, Stanford

While there is no one the caliber of Tory Taylor in this year’s placekicker class it does offer several players with late-round draft grades. The top kicker on my board is Joshua Karty of Stanford. Over the past two seasons he has converted on 91% of his kicks and all but one of those misses was from over 50 yards.
