Round 2 Pick 39: Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

After taking an offensive tackle with their first-round pick, the Giants start to add some playmakers in the passing game. With the selection of Troy Franklin, the team gets one of the more dynamic playmakers in the 2024 NFL Draft. Last season, Franklin averaged 17.1 yards per catch and his 14 receiving touchdowns were the third most in college football.

Franklin has the speed to compliment Wan'Dale Robinson who is more of a possession receiver. He would also team with Jalin Hyatt to give the Giants two of the fastest receivers in the NFL, which combined with a better offensive line should allow New York to take plenty of shots downfield next year.

Round 2 Pick 47: Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

The New York Giants spent a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Deonte Banks who had an up-and-down season. However, the team's other starting cornerback Adoree' Jackson is an impending free agent and has likely played his last day in New York.

Georgia cornerback Kamari Lassiter was a shutdown corner last year and should be able to compete for a starting job as a rookie. Last year, for the Bulldogs he allowed only 0.35 yards per coverage snap and only allowed opponents to complete 39% of the passes thrown his way both of which were in the top 10 in the FBS according to Pro Football Focus.
