Mac Jones Trade Rumors: Three ideal landing spots for Patriots QB (to revive his NFL career)

Minnesota Vikings - because they need a quarterback

The Minnesota Vikings are an interesting team because they could go in a few directions at QB this offseason.  They could re-sign Kirk Cousins, go after a quarterback like Baker Mayfield in free agency or draft a quarterback in the first round.  Given the talent they have on offense, it would be tough for a veteran or a first-round talent not to have some success.  Heck, the team was still battling for a playoff spot after Cousins went down with a season-ending injury.

With their elite weapons, a trade for Mac Jones could be a cheaper option for the Vikings.  They could and probably would still draft a quarterback in the first or second round, but throwing Jones in the mix to compete for the starting job could be another ideal situation for Jones.  Not only would he get a fresh start, but he would have an opportunity to win a starting role with elite weapons around him.

Now, what if the Vikings re-signed Cousins? 

Like Stafford, the veteran quarterback is approaching his late 30s so Jones could benefit from learning behind him as well.  Ironically, Cousins is a quarterback Mac Jones has been compared to as far as his ceiling.  Vikings fans may scowl at his, but this could be a fit for the team and player.
