Las Vegas Raiders: An offense Kyler Murray could succeed with

The Las Vegas Raiders are an interesting potential landing spot for Kyler Murray because of the playmakers they already have on offense.

At 1-3 entering Week 5 of the NFL season, the Raiders are a team that could easily be 3-1 even despite the drama surrounding the team.  While a deal for Murray would put even more spotlight on the franchise, the Raiders could be a mobile quarterback away from making some noise.

With offensive weapons wide receiver Devante Adams and running back Josh Jacobs seemingly frustrated with how things are going, a spark at the quarterback position could trigger a new level of excitement in Vegas and give head coach Josh McDaniels a quarterback he could be creative with.

When the Raiders faced Murray and the Cardinals in Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season, McDaniels lauded Murray as a “special player” and a very dangerous playmaker.

“First of all, I think the number one thing I would say about him is he’s a really good passer. He can read the defense, he can get the ball to all levels of the field, he can make every throw, he’s very accurate. So that in its own is a tough challenge. Then you combine that with his ability to either run the ball on designed runs or RPOs or zone read, and then every pass play could potentially be a loose play. So, he forces you to be absolutely on top of all your P’s and Q’s, and you can’t take plays off and can’t relax because if you do, generally he makes you pay for it,” McDaniels said, via ProFootball talk.

Sounds like an offensive minded coach who would love to have a dual-threat quarterback like Kyler Murray on his side.

Of course, all the possibilities depend on the health of Jimmy Garoppolo and what direction the Raiders take over the next couple of weeks.  If they find a way to string together a couple wins with the offense looking consistent perhaps the Raiders are a team that would look to add Murray in the offseason rather than within the season.

Either way, Murray is an option for the Raiders.
