Could dealing Murray land another high-round pick? The idea must be even more intriguing for the Cardinals organization that do seem set on resetting. Obviously, any trade within the season would depend on Murray’s health coming off an ACL tear suffered late in the 2022 NFL season. If healthy, he has proved he has the talent to be an impactful quarterback. But is the work ethic there?
That work ethic was in question prior to the season-ending injury last year and could play apart in what the Cardinals do decide when it comes to the future of Kyler Murray. According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the speculation is that the Cardinals will move on from Murray.
“The outside speculation – the word I get when talking to agents and executives from other teams – is that the Cardinals likely will move on after this season. Again, that’s speculation. But there are common-sense reasons to speculate that way,” Graziano said, via Bleacher Report.
Is the talent enough for another NFL starving team to take a shot at Murray. The question is, would there be a team out there willing to offer anything of value for a quarterback with still something to prove in his young career?
