In the seventh round, the Chiefs take their shot on another weapon for Mahomes. Hayden Hatten might be coming out of a smaller program like Idaho, but he has a couple of reasons to believe he can make it in this league.

First and foremost, his hands are strong. He doesn't drop a lot of passes. He knows how to make a catch and secure it. As silly as that might sound, it's the simple things that will allow a receiver to have a long career in the NFL.

The 6-foot-2 All American is great at finding breakdowns in zone coverages and getting himself open. And if you're open in this Chiefs offense, Mahomes will find you. Hatten possesses excellent body control, too, to go with those hands of his. Route running, body control and hands; he's got all of the intangibles.
