The Philadelphia Eagles finished the 2023 season failing to reminisce about their success in 2022, as they ended the regular season 11-6 and went on to get embarrassed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Wild Card rematch from week 3.

Philly finished with 433 point scored this year while racking up 354.4 yards per game, to go along with 4,067 passing yards and 2,190 rushing yards. Eagles did outstanding at home going 6-2 and struggled at the end of the year on the road going 5-5 (including postseason).

The Eagles should look into offensive tackles, cornerbacks, wide receivers, running backs, and centers for the upcoming season. The Eagles hold nine draft picks this year, and there will be no trades in this mock draft.

This 6'6, 360-pounder can be the insurance policy the Eagles need, as Lane Johnson could be pushing for retirement as he will be entering his 12th season in the NFL. JC Latham has impressive coordination with his broad frame and elite-level play strength.

After coming off an adequate 2023 year where he was named Second-team All-Big 12, Josh Newton started his collegiate career at Louisiana-Monroe, then entered the transfer portal to be a part of the TCU Horned Frogs his senior year. Newton in five years tallied up 152 total tackles and 7 interceptions. He is really aggressive in press coverage, something the Eagles need on defense.

Eagles add depth at wide receiver, draft Michigan running back in early-mid rounds

Another player who entered the transfer portal, Ja'Lynn Polk, who started his collegiate career at Texas Tech in 2020 one season later, transferred to Washington in 2021. Despite being the third receiver behind Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan, Polk held his own for the Huskies racking up 69 receptions, 1,159 yards, and 9 touchdowns this past year.

Eagles, who will need a starting running back, should look no further than Blake Corum. Corum is an elite runner with good vision, footwork, and physicality on the field. But Corum was running with a select offensive line in Michigan; if he gets drafted by the Eagles, their struggles going into the offseason with the offensive line may be problematic with a rookie running back.

Eagles round out 2024 NFL Draft by adding depth on both sides of the ball

Is it the product of Philly getting drafted by Philly? Tykee Smith, a big hitter with instincts, excels at the defensive end position, where he can also be a Ball Hawk, having eight interceptions from playing at West Virginia and Georgia.

With Jason Kelce's future in Philadelphia left uncertain, the Eagles are going to have to draft a center just in case Kelce does retire and a backup for Cam Jurgens, who will most likely fill the role as center, but Drake Nugent isn't too be fooled around with standing at 6'1, this 300 pounder has good quickness and flexibility on blocking especially on screenplays.

Jaylin Simpson is very physical and versatile at the safety position and can cover the deep ball when needed; Simpson would be a tremendous late-pick acquisition for the Eagles. During his tenure with Auburn, Simpson compiled 118 total tackles and seven interceptions.

The Eagles have invested much into the offensive line over the past three seasons. Beaux Limmer, who has played both guard spots and center, could be a reliable playmaker for the Eagles if they select him with number 177; Limmer excels on the run block and can sometimes struggle on the pass block.

Anthony Belton is a very physical Offensive Tackle; he is very light on his feet at 6'6, 336 pounds, but he still needs work on his quarterback hurries and getting penalized less, as he had 18 quarterback hurries during his 2023 year at North Carolina.
