Commanders Mock Draft 2.0: Washington shakes up draft at No. 2, selects Jayden Daniels over Drake Maye

Round 3 Pick 67: Cole Bishop, S, Utah
Another area the Commanders must address this offseason is their secondary. The team gave up 7.5 yards per pass play which ranked 31st in the NFL, and was dead last when came to opposing team’s passer rating. The team could also lose it’s top safety Kamren Curl who is scheduled to be a free agent. Even if he comes back though he has not been much of a playmaker having not picked off a pass since his rookie season. The team’s other safety
Terrell Burgess had the league-worst missed tackles percentage according to Pro Football Focus.
Utah’s Cole Bishop would be able to fill the void at strong or free safety for the Commanders. He is a good coverman showing the range to patrol the back half of the defense. He also has plenty of expierience playing in the box having led all Pac-12 safeties with 60 blitzes and having the top pass-rush grade among the conferences linebackers and defensive backs according to Pro Football Focus.
