As college football playoffs heat up, NFL scouts have their eyes on these potential future stars of the NFL!
By Beau Adams
Dallas Turner, the edge rusher from Alabama, has had an outstanding season. Known for his agility and speed, Turner has been a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. His knack for forcing turnovers and disrupting plays increases his prospects for the NFL draft.
Season Statistics:
- Total Tackles: 49
- Total Sacks: 9
- Forced Fumbles: 2
Ideal Draft Position:
Turner is the Will Anderson Jr. of 2024. We could see a team move up with the Bears and grab him, but he will likely go fourth to the Commanders or drop to the Saints or Falcons at 11 or 12.
T'Vondre Sweat, the defensive tackle from Texas, has been a revelation this season. His strength and ability to disrupt the opponent's offensive line make him a desired prospect for the NFL draft.
Season Statistics:
- Total Tackles: 42
- Total Sacks: 2
- Pass Deflections: 5
Ideal Draft Position
Sweat will have to impress in the Playoffs, or he could slip to the mid-second round. He is the third-ranked DT in the Draft behind Jer'Zhan Newton and Ohio State's Tyleik Williams. The Jaguars on the 26th or the Cowboys with the 28th would be a win for Sweat.
