Round 7 Pick 236: Mason Pline, TE, Furman
Denver goes with tight ends on back-to-back picks this time taking Furman’s Mason Pline. Pline is a former basketball player who offers ideal size at 6-foot-7 and 260 pounds and is one of the more athletic tight ends in the NFL Draft. Plus, Sean Payton has some experience working with former basketball players including Jimmy Graham who developed into an All-Pro under Payton.
Three undrafted free agents who would be good fits for the Denver Broncos
The following three players are prospects who carry an undrafted free agent grade, according to NFL Mock Draft Database that would be good fits in Denver.
1. Jalen Coker, WR, Holy Cross
Denver needs to add more depth at the wide receiver position and could find a gem in Coker. Last season, Coker was named an FCS All-American after catching 59 passes for 1,040 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also proved he could compete against NFL talent at the East-West Shrine game.
2. Mason McCormick, OG, South Dakota State
Another FCS prospect who could be a good addition as an undrafted free agent is South Dakota State’s Mason McCormick. McCormick is a powerful run blocker who could play either center or offensive guard for the Denver.
3. Logan Lee, DT, Iowa
Logan Lee would give Denver more depth on the defensive line, and is another player who was a strong run defender. While Lee played as a defensive tackle in the Hawkeye’s 4-3 defense he could move to defensive end in the Broncos’s 3-4 defense.
