The talk and hype of the NFL going into Week 16 in the NFL is the showdown between the Baltimore Ravens (11-3) and San Francisco 49ers (11-3). A potential Super Bowl preview, the Ravens will need a win to not only show they are for real, but to stay ahead of the other AFC North teams making a push for the playoffs.
With the Cleveland Browns on their heels for the AFC North title, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will need to bring a complete game against the 49ers who have already had their way with some of the other heavy players like the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Ironically, a team they struggled with were the Browns who knocked the 49ers down a notch with a 19-17 victory back in October.
Can the Ravens do the same?

Lamar Jackson in the spotlight vs 49ers
It will be a tough task traveling to the Bay Area on Monday night, but if any team has the ingredients to take it to the 49ers it is the Ravens. The dual-threat ability of Jackson on offense along with the tough defense the Ravens play, it should be an interesting challenge for both teams.
As for Jackson, the Ravens quarterback has been playing like an MVP and will need to showcase that on the big stage Monday night. While Baltimore does have playmakers surrounding Jackson, the 49ers know who must be stopped in this game. During an appearance on Up & Adams, 49ers star receiver Deebo Samuel summed up just how dangerous Jackson is.
“That man is playing out of this world right now,” Samuel said. “Real talented, strong arm, can play the game. Lamar is a guy, he has everything that you look for. Just looking at him week in and week out, he’s always doing something amazing, it just shows how good he is at the game.”
Just imagine what the 49ers’ defense is thinking.
With an over and under of 219.5 passing yards, bet on Jackson with the over against the 49ers’ defense that may be locked in on keeping Jackson in the pocket. Expect big games from Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers in this one.
Christian McCaffrey vs the Baltimore Ravens defense
Another MVP candidate showcased in this Monday night show down is outstanding running back Christian McCaffrey who is obviously a focal point for the Ravens defense.
Coming off another 100-yard rushing game, the 49ers’ running back player props odds for rushing yards is over/under 84.5. Bet the under as the Ravens will be locked in on stopping the run game and forcing Brock Purdy to win the game with his arm. Unfortunately for the Ravens, McCaffrey is a dual threat running back who won’t be completely shut down in this game.
Prediction: This game will live up to the hype, there will be some explosive offensive plays as well as some high-energy defensive play as both teams will be up for this heavyweight fight. At the end, the 49ers will outlast the Ravens as a favorite ends the string of Monday Night matchups won by the underdog. It won’t be easy but go with the 49ers to beat the Ravens 27-24 in this one.
