Now that the 2024 NFL Draft is in the books, it is time to look to the 2025 NFL Draft. Over the next month, NFL Mocks will be releasing our watch list for each position. We start by taking a look at this year’s quarterback class.

While no one in the 2025 NFL Draft is the caliber of Caleb Williams who went number one to the Chicago Bears, there is great depth in this class. I have a total of 46 players on my preseason watch list, which means with outstanding seasons this year they could hear their name called during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Please note these players are not listed in any particular order.

One 2025 NFL prospect to watch in each conference

ACC: Cameron Ward, Miami: A player who likely would have been a mid-round pick this season is Cameron Ward. Ward who played at Washington State last season is a good athlete and has one of the stronger arms in the 2025 class. He will need to improve his pocket awareness this season while playing for his third team during his college career the Miami Hurricanes.

Big 10: Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: Another quarterback on his third team is Dillion Gabriel who will be playing for Oregon this year, after already suiting up for Oklahoma and UCF. Gabriel will likely remind NFL fans of Dolphin’s quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in that both are left-handed, throw in rhythm, and display good accuracy.

Big 12: Shedeur Sanders, Colorado: Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is currently my number-one quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft and has a first-round grade. What impresses me the most about him is his accuracy which saw him complete 69 percent of his passes despite having much help from an average supporting cast and horrible offensive line.

SEC: Quinn Ewers, Texas: A player who made great strides last year is Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers. He improved his completion percentage in 2023 by 11 percent and threw seven more touchdowns on the season despite missing two games.

Non-Power Four: Mark Gronowski, South Dakota State: One of my highest-rated FCS prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft is South Dakota State quarterback Mark Gronowski. Going into this season he has already thrown for 7,590 yards, 70 touchdowns, and just 13 interceptions.
