2024 NFL Mock Draft: Appeasing third round selections for each NFC East team
By Beau Adams
The Cowboys have the 87th pick in the NFL Mocks midseason mock draft for the NFC East and select Terrion Arnold, CB Alabama. The Cowboys get around to addressing their biggest draft need, CB depth, and do it outstandingly.
Terrion Arnold was originally aiming to play two sports at Alabama, like teammate Kool-Aid McKinstry. Still, he was able to secure a starting role in football as a freshman, so basketball took a backseat. He stated that football was not his main focus until college, which makes sense considering his impressive growth from freshman year to sophomore season.
He has an impressive frame, confidence, physicality, and technicality when playing man coverage. His agility and explosiveness when transitioning and recovering are phenomenal, with good communication. When tackling, Arnold stands out in his decisiveness against screens. Arnold is a relatively new player in the position but is showing tremendous growth.
Terrion Arnold, comparable to Trevon Diggs, began his collegiate career at Alabama as a safety. As fitting as it is, Arnold will line up opposite Diggs but provide much of what Diggs doesn't. He will excel statistically as Diggs will keep most of the targets going Arnold's way, while Arnold will be a miss match for most WR2 in the league.
