2024 NFL Draft — Trey Benson, Bucky Irving rank high on updated running back rankings

The running back position catches considerable flack in NFL circles. Sure, the position is far from the most important, but it is still crucial to a team’s success. The 2024 NFL Draft offers multiple starting-caliber prospects.

Will The Ohio State Star Enter The 2024 NFL Draft?

RB2: TreVeyon Henderson (Ohio State)*

Height: 5-foot-10

Weight: 212 pounds

2023 Stats: 137 attempts, 854 rushing yards (6.2 YPC), 11 touchdowns, 518 yards after contact, 26 forced missed tackles, 19 receptions

Right on Benson’s heels is the explosive running back from Ohio State, TreVeyon Henderson. During his time in Columbus, the former five-star recruit has dealt with a laundry list of injuries. That track record of ailments is the only thing keeping Henderson from running away with the RB1 mantle.

On the field, the Buckeye star flexes blazing speed, elite vision, improving patience, and some highly-coveted pass-catching chops. His size makes it difficult to project an every-down role for Henderson on Sundays, but his overall talent will allow him to make his mark in an NFL backfield.

*Rumors say TreVeyon Henderson is leaning toward returning to Ohio State for the 2024 college football season. It would be a major blow to the already thin running back class.
