Darren Mougey and Aaron Glenn are looking to bring change to a cursed New York Jets organization that currently has the longest active playoff drought in the NFL.

They started their rebuild bringing in Justin Fields, who showed flashes of being a solid NFL quarterback but struggled to stay consistent. However unlike the Steelers last season, the Jets seem committed to giving him the keys to the offense with no real threat to steal his job behind him.

New York Jets need to get more explosive on offense

It is important the Jets make some needed changes to the offense as first year offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand was the passing game coordinator for the Lions last season. It goes without saying the Lions have much better offensive weapons than the Jets but they can still put together a solid roaster if they pick the right players.

Garrett Wilson is incredible but the Jets need another pass catcher they can rely on. Tyler Warren is a dynamic playmaker who can be used in all different types of formations. He knows how to find the soft spot in zone coverages and has some of the most reliable hands in the draft. He is the type of player that can come in and be a Pro Bowl caliber tight end right away.

The Jets allowed 121.1 rushing yards per game this past season, which is about league average. Tyleik Williams is one of the best run stoppers in this class so pairing him with Quinnen Williams would give the Jets a potentially elite interior defensive line. His only flaw as a player is that he lacks multiple pass rush moves and is reliant on his strength and athleticism, but if he can develop he can become a star at the NFL level.

Anthony Belton is a monster of a man that thrives in pass protection. The Jets used their first round pick on Olu Fashanu last year but still need a long term answer for their other tackle spot. Belton is a developmental piece but if he reaches his full potential they could have both tackles locked up for years to come.
