We are only days away from the NFL Draft, and rumors are swirling about what teams will do as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches. In this week’s NFL Draft Notebook, we take a closer look at the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans, while also highlighting the latest updates on top prospects.

Latest NFL Draft news and notes

Keep an eye on the Browns targeting a quarterback in the second round

While there’s been plenty of buzz around Cleveland possibly taking Shedeur Sanders with the second overall pick, a more realistic scenario has them waiting until the second round to land their quarterback of the future. That approach is supported by the visits they've hosted with Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe, and Tyler Shough—prospects projected to go in the late first or second round.

Highly rated cornerback to hold workout

Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison, the No. 2 cornerback on my board, has had a quiet pre-draft process after missing both the NFL Combine and the Irish’s Pro Day, but teams will finally get an up-close look at him during his private workout on April 21st. Known for his exceptional ball skills—evidenced by nine career interceptions—Morrison is a strong late first-round prospect, with the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions emerging as potential landing spots.

How will Titians support Cam Ward

At this point, it would be a major surprise if the Tennessee Titans don’t select Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but the bigger question is how they plan to support him. One potential move could be targeting Missouri’s Luther Burden III in the second round. Adding the explosive Burden with the 35th overall pick would give Ward a much-needed playmaker and bolster a Titans receiving corps that currently features only one proven starter in Calvin Ridley.

Being overblown

One of the most overblown concerns in the 2025 NFL Draft is LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell's 33-inch arms, which fall just short of the 34-inch threshold that some teams prefer. However, several high-quality offensive tackles, including All-Pro first-team member Penei Sewell, have measured with arms under 34 inches. Regardless of his arm length, there’s no doubt Campbell possesses the skill set to be a premier offensive tackle or offensive guard in the NFL.

Denver could be a landing spot for Kaleb Johnson

A potential landing spot for Iowa star running back Kaleb Johnson is the Denver Broncos, who recently hosted him for a pre-draft visit. Selecting Johnson in the second round would make sense for Denver, especially after losing last year’s leading rusher, Javonte Williams, to the Dallas Cowboys in free agency. Johnson, the Ameche-Dayne Big Ten Running Back of the Year, is a powerful runner who also brings value as a receiving threat out of the backfield.

Day 3 prospect for the Buffalo Bills

The Bills boast one of the top interior offensive lines in the league with center Connor McGovern, left guard David Edwards, and right guard O'Cyrus Torrence, but with both McGovern and Edwards set to hit free agency after the season, Buffalo may look to add depth on Day Three of the 2025 NFL Draft. One intriguing option is Cincinnati’s Luke Kandra, a first-team All-Big 12 selection and the third-highest graded guard in the Power 4 according to Pro Football Focus.
