Several elite draft prospects are set to join the NFC East in 2026. With highly rated players such as Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs, and Makai Lemon aiming to make a quick impact in their rookie season, NFL Mocks offers an early preview of the 2027 NFL Draft candidates who could further strengthen this division’s competitiveness.

While the current top draft picks could help flip this division, the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders will have tough roster decisions to make following the season.  That could impact who each of these teams target in the 2027 NFL Draft.

The prospects who shake up the NFC East in 2027

Roster choices may shape NFC East teams' paths after the 2026 NFL season. This early mock draft highlights top prospects for these teams, using current Super Bowl odds as a guide.

No. 8 New York Giants: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

The Giants addressed the secondary in the 2026 NFL Draft with the selection of Colton Hood with the 37th overall pick. The Tennessee product will be a great addition given his press-man aggressive nature as an outside corner, but the Giants will need another corner to add to the mix.  Particularly one with more length and who could serve more as the team’s No. 1 corner. That leads to the selection of Georgia star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV.

With great instincts in zone coverage and an outstanding ability to track down the ball in the defensive secondary, this 6-foot-0, 180-pound prospect is all the Giants need and more. Along with his ball-hawking ability, Robinson IV can also make an impact in run support. He’s a big-time tackler who plays like a linebacker when playing down in the box against the run.

No. 11 Washington Commanders: David Stone, DL, Oklahoma

The Commanders select one of the most explosive defensive tackle prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft in David Stone. While Washington has Daron Payne, Javon Kinlaw and Jer’Zhan Newton anchoring the middle, adding another dominant force in the middle won’t hurt, right?

Stone provides the Commanders with an elite run-stopper and a dominant force at the line of scrimmage. While defensive tackle isn't the team's primary concern, depth at the position could quietly become important during the 2026 NFL season under Dan Quinn's defense, particularly as Payne nears free agency in 2027.

No. 16 Dallas Cowboys: Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama

George Pickens is playing under the franchise tag in 2026, so the Cowboys likely won't sign both him and CeeDee Lamb to big deals. Picking Ryan Coleman-Williams signals Pickens' departure.

Despite struggling with dropped passes in 2025, Coleman-Williams remains a key playmaker, bringing exceptional speed and run-after-the-catch talent to complement Lamb in the Cowboys' offense. He’ll need to address his drop issues during the 2026 season at Alabama, but he is widely projected as a top wide receiver prospect for the early rounds of the 2027 NFL Draft. In this mock draft, he slips a bit and lands perfectly with the Cowboys.

No. 23 Philadelphia Eagles: Austin Siereveld, T, Ohio State

The Eagles will have a more desperate need to find a successor to Lane Johnson in the 2027 NFL Draft. Unless 2026 NFL Draft pick Markel Bell develops quickly into that role, look for the Eagles to address the need earlier in the draft with the selection of Ohio State’s Austin Siereveld.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 325 pounds, Siereveld brings size and power to the Eagles offensive line.  He also brings versatility and elite pass protection, allowing zero sacks in 2025.  If he has a similar season in 2026, he will go a lot higher and 23rd in the draft.  In this early projection, he serves as the perfect target for Howie Roseman and the Eagles to pursue.

No. 25 Dallas Cowboys: Ahmad Hardy, HB, Missouri

The Cowboys stick to the offensive side of the ball with the selection of Ahmad Hardy with the second of their two first-round picks. This projection is based on Hardy's 2025 season, when he led the SEC in rushing with 1,649 yards and 16 touchdowns.  Based on his 2025 performance, Hardy is the bell cow type back the Cowboys will be in search of to pair with Javonte Williams in 2027.

It is important to note that Hardy is currently recovering from an upper leg injury sustained in an off-the-field incident, which raises concerns regarding his availability for the 2026 season at Missouri. Should he make a successful recovery, his first-round potential remains viable; however, if he is unable to return to his previous form, his draft prospects may diminish.
