Good morning NFL Mocks readers,

I’d like to welcome you to my first ever NFL Mocks Staff Blog page. This gives the staff at NFL Mocks, such as myself, to give a face behind the articles we write and allow us to write in a less formal atmosphere.

For my first blog, I’d like to introduce myself to our thousands of viewers so that you can get a sense of where my writing styles and sport connections come from.

First off, I’m a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan. I’ve lived through the Phillies 2008 World Series, a Flyers Stanley Cup Finals appearance, a 76ers tanking operation and the ever exciting Chip Kelly regime. You may see some of my Philly bias come off in my writing or in some of our newest podcast/roundtables, but I try to suppress those to create a fair and balanced article.

I am also a member of the Penn State family. I am currently a junior at The Pennsylvania State University studying Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. A lot of my course work is writing intensive, so I hope all of my in-class work is reflected in my published articles.

I plan to someday go to law school and become a certified sports representative (aka agent). Other than being a player or owner, I feel that this gives me the best opportunity to become more than a fan of the games I love. Because I am a Nittany Lion, expect to see the Christian Hackenburg hype coming your way in the near future. I’m a student season ticket holder, so I plan on seeing him live for at least one more season at Beaver Stadium.

Outside of school and writing, I am a professional zipline guide/operator. I plan to spend much of my upcoming summer in the trees working with kids, which is always an interesting experience.
