NFL scouts are descending on Frisco, Texas this weekend to evaluate top prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft during the East-West Shrine All-Star game. This showcase gives scouts a chance to see some of the nation’s best talent compete directly against other elite players. In this article, we’ll highlight five prospects who could be perfect fits for certain NFL teams, from quarterbacks ready to develop behind veterans to playmakers who can immediately upgrade key areas.
Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson
NFL Fit: Los Angeles Rams
The Rams need to start grooming a quarterback behind 37-year-old Matthew Stafford. Clemson’s Cade Klubnik is an athletic pocket passer who entered the year as a potential first overall pick. After an injury-plagued 2025 season, Klubnik could fall to the third or fourth round, making him a high-value target for Los Angeles.
Kaden Wetjen, WR, Iowa
NFL Fit: Green Bay Packers
If the Green Bay Packers want to challenge the Chicago Bears for the NFC North, upgrading their return game is a must. This season, Green Bay finished last in the NFL with just 5.6 yards per punt return, and their kickoff return average was also near the bottom. Iowa’s Kaden Wetjen, widely regarded as the best return man in the 2026 draft and one of the best in college football history, could change that. He made history as the first player to win the Jett Award, given to the nation’s top return specialist.

Taurean York, LB, Texas A&M
NFL Fit: Carolina Panthers
The Panthers could lose Christian Rozeboom, who led the team with 122 tackles, in free agency. If that happens, Carolina will need at least one starting-caliber linebacker this offseason. Texas A&M’s Taurean York is a sure tackler with the fluid hips to hold up in coverage, making him a solid Day 3 option for the Panthers in the fifth or sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Lake McRee, TE, USC
NFL Fit: Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals will likely look to Day 3 of the draft to address tight end depth, as Noah Fant is set to hit free agency and they need support behind Mike Gesicki. USC’s Lake McRee is the type of pass-catching tight end Joe Burrow would love, having caught 30 passes this past season. McRee is an athletic target with some of the surest hands in the 2026 class, having dropped only two passes in his entire college career.

Jackie Marshall, DT, Baylor
NFL Fit: Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings will likely look late in the draft to add youth at the defensive tackle position. Baylor’s Jackie Marshall is a quick, athletic interior lineman who holds up surprisingly well against the run. He could be a valuable pick in the seventh round or as an undrafted free agent.
