The Washington Commanders have been making serious waves thus far this season, standing at a 7-4 record. As the team was 4-13 last year, being last in the NFC North, the Commanders are a team that's to be taken seriously heading into the playoffs.

Jayden Daniels leads Commanders to success

One man who had much to do with the recent success of the Commanders is starting quarterback and rookie Jayden Daniels, one of the NFL's breakout stars. Being the second overall draftee out of this year's NFL Draft, Daniels has thus far proved to be a valuable asset for the Commanders.

Considering his decorated accomplishments playing out of Arizona State and LSU, especially being a former Heisman Trophy winner in 2023, it's not surprising that Jayden Daniels would succeed at the level where he is right now. Daniels brings a lot of strengths to the table, as he's a well-known duel-threat quarterback who can run and pass while also being credited for having deep ball accuracy.

Daniels is among the leading players who could win this year's NFL Rookie of the Year due to his recent performances. Some even say that with the rate he's going, he could be a potential winner for the MVP award.

An Injured-Road for Daniels

However, it's worth noting that it hasn't been an easy road for Commanders rookie QB this season. Even though his performances this season could earn him the Rookie of the Year award, he has been dealing with a recent rib injury.

Despite this, it hasn't stopped Daniels from playing and leading the Commanders to becoming one of the best teams in the NFL. With his performances despite sustaining a rib injury, he is showcasing his ability as a reliable quarterback even when being hurt. Some have even compared his success to former quarterback Robert Griffin III during his rookie year, but can Daniels continue to ride his momentum for years to come?
