Any NFL team looking for a high-impact defensive lineman should look no further than Michigan Wolverines star defensive stud Mason Graham.

That is if you are an NFL team selecting in the top 10 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

An absolute force along the defensive line, Graham has been the catalyst of the Wolverines’ front seven all season long.  The numbers simply don’t tell the story of how good Graham is.  So far, the 6-foot-3, 320-pound junior has 19 solo tackles and 3.5 sacks, but his high motor and versatility along the defensive line is what helps Michigan’s defense dominant at times.

As a projected top 10 pick, will Graham’s power and overall skillset translate to the NFL level?  Let’s rephrase that, how well will that skillset translate to the NFL level?

2025 NFL Draft: It’s Mason Graham and then everyone else

When looking at the draft class at the interior defensive line position, Graham is clearly the top prospect in a class that includes teammate Kenneth Grant, Ohio State’s Tyleik Williams, and Ole Miss star Walter Nolen.  As noted by PFF, Graham has the type of talent that will make an impact at the next level.

PFF’s Trevor Sikkema writes: “Mason Graham brings top-five overall talent to the interior defensive line group and has now graded at an elite level for two straight seasons. We’ve seen how impactful interior defensive line production can be in the NFL, and Graham provides that.”

3 interesting NFL fits for Mason Graham

Graham is the top ranked defensive lineman entering the 2025 NFL Draft due to his relentless motor in both defending the run and getting to the quarterback.  His quick first step gives him an instant advantage against offensive lineman.  Teams in need for defensive help drafting high in the draft would be crazy to pass on a disruptive force like this Michigan prospect.  Here are 3 of those NFL teams.

manual

New York Jets: Defense hasn’t been the weakness for the Jets over the past few seasons, but one area where they can use an upgrade or insertion of depth is in the interior of their defensive line.  Currently selecting in the top 10, Graham would be the ultimate fit due to his versatility.  If you are a Jets fan, just imagine Graham playing next to Quinnen Williams on that line.

New Orleans Saints: The Saints are a defense that will be looking for star power on all levels on their defense.  Why not start up front with a player like Graham?  The Saints will be enticed to go after an edge rusher with Cameron Jordan past his prime, but in Graham they would get a defender who could be a disrupter in the middle of the line, but also can move to defensive end and really get after the QB.  A win-win opportunity for the Saints front office.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals addressed the interior defensive line in drafting Kris Jenkins a year ago.  In this draft they will have an opportunity to add another Michigan product to that defensive front in selecting Graham.  With both Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard on the edge, the Bengals could suddenly have one of the top defensive lines in the league if Graham continues to develop into an unstoppable force for any offensive line to uphold.
