2027 NFL Mock Draft: Eagles address a major need as another QB comes off the board

No. 10 Philadelphia Eagles: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
The Eagles take care of a big need at tackle with the selection of Trevor Goosby with the No. 10 overall pick. With Lane Johnson’s sudden retirement, this is an even bigger need unless 2026 third-round rookie Markel Bell develops as the starting right tackle.
Even then, the Eagles are best served by adding a big, athletic, powerful player like Goosby to the mix, who offers needed depth and young star power at either tackle position.
No. 11 New York Jets via Indianapolis: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
The Jets get their cornerback in Georgia star Ellis Robinson IV, who becomes the second cornerback off the board.
As a highly physical cornerback with natural ball-hawking tenacity, Robinson IV gives the Jets an aggressive secondary presence who could finally fill the shoes of Sauce Gardner, the player they traded to acquire this pick.
No. 12 Tennessee Titans via trade with Jets: Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
The Titans use their other first-round pick acquired in the deal with the Jets to add more talent along the offensive line. The selection of Jordan Seaton secures the left side for whoever lines up under center.
Seaton also ends the Dan Moore Jr. tenure in Tennessee as the team will move on from him either through a trade or by cutting him, despite the financial impact that may come if cutting him is the only option.
No. 13 Cleveland Browns via LA Rams: Darian Mensah, QB, Miami
The Browns make Darian Mensah the fifth quarterback off the board in the top 13. If there was a team that fits Mensah's strengths, it is the Browns, who have offensive weapons all over the field.
They also have a young, developing offensive line to protect Mensah in the pocket, which allows him to work the ball downfield with the patience and accuracy he has shown at Miami so far in the 2026 season.
With the young offensive talent the Browns have, adding Mensah under center makes the offense very interesting in 2027 and beyond.
No. 14 Atlanta Falcons: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
If Michael Penix Jr. is healthy and proves he can be more durable, you can wipe quarterback off the Falcons' list of top needs, at least in the first round.
With the No. 14 overall pick, the Falcons add more talent on offense with the selection of Cam Coleman.
Of course, Atlanta could use the pick to fortify the trenches, either on the offensive line or defensive line, but with Coleman sitting there, the opportunity to add a WR2-level player to the mix to complement Drake London is too hard to pass up.
No. 15 Seattle Seahawks: Yhonzae Pierre, EDGE, Alabama
The Seahawks have a top need on the interior of the offensive line, but they can address that need on Day 2 of the 2027 NFL Draft.
With the No. 15 overall pick, they get help at EDGE with the selection of Alabama’s Yhonzae Pierre, who is an emerging defender Mike Macdonald will love utilizing due to his versatility and ability to drop back in coverage as well as get after the quarterback.
Pierre is also excellent at setting the edge and defending the run. A great fit in the Emerald City.
No. 16 Cincinnati Bengals: Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson
The Bengals get cornerback help with the selection of Clemson star Ashton Hampton in the middle of the first round.
Hampton, who is challenging for CB2 status in this draft, brings press-man ability to the Bengals secondary along with a knack for breaking up passes.
So far in 2026, Hampton has nine pass breakups and an interception while anchoring Clemson’s defensive backfield.
