2027 NFL Mock Draft: Arch Manning's surprising slide continues
No. 17 Seattle Seahawks: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
The Seahawks add a No. 2 wide receiver option with the selection of Cam Coleman. The team may have taken care of a need at offensive guard with the trade for Quenton Nelson. That leaves a need at edge rusher and wide receiver to take some of the workload off Jaxon Smith-Njigba. As the best player available, Coleman adds a secondary option at receiver and a potential replacement for Cooper Kupp, who is getting up there in age.
No. 18 New England Patriots: KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
The Patriots add another impact player to the defensive backfield with the selection of KJ Bolden with the No. 18 overall pick. The top safety entering the draft, Bolden gives the Patriots a long-term option at safety to play next to Craig Woodson and a defensive playmaker who is not afraid to get up in the box and create plays. Most importantly, he provides back-end speed, an area where the defense was exposed a bit in a loss to the Chicago Bears.
No. 19 Carolina Panthers: Trey'Dez Green, TE, LSU
We are sticking with Trey'Dez Green as the pick for the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft. With his big frame, athleticism and gigantic catch radius, Green will provide matchup nightmares for opposing defenses as he gives Bryce Young another big target to get the ball to.
No. 20 Dallas Cowboys (via Green Bay): KJ Duff, WR, Rutgers
The Cowboys lock in at wide receiver with the selection of KJ Duff with the No. 20 overall pick. Yes, this means the team will move on from George Pickens and replace him with a contested-catch king who just happens to have a super-duper catch radius to complement his explosive playmaking downfield and in the red zone. He'll be an instant presence in the NFC East.
No. 21 New York Giants: David Stone, DL, Oklahoma
The Giants find their Dexter Lawrence successor in Oklahoma's David Stone. Although not as big as A'Mauri Washington, whom the Giants also consider here, Stone is a more explosive interior lineman off the snap and can get after the quarterback up the middle. He'll complement the duo of Abdul Carter and Arvell Reese greatly.
No. 22 Jacksonville Jaguars: A'Mauri Washington, DL, Oregon
A'Mauri Washington doesn't have to wait much longer as he comes off the board at No. 22 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. A powerful, run-stopping anchor in the middle, the massive Washington gives the Jaguars long-term stability at the position with both Arik Armstead and DaVon Hamilton nearing the end of their current contracts.
No. 23 Cincinnati Bengals: Chris Cole, LB, Georgia
Georgia linebacker Chris Cole gets selected by the Bengals with the No. 23 overall pick. An athletic sideline-to-sideline tackler, Cole provides an upgrade at the position and strengthens a unit of young linebackers that includes Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter.

No. 24 Pittsburgh Steelers: Arch Manning, QB, Texas
The story of the first round will be whether Arch Manning still manages to get selected in the top 10 of the draft or even on Day 1. The talent is too good for a head coach like Mike McCarthy to pass up, as he believes he will be able to mold Manning into a more polished quarterback who delivers consistently. For Pittsburgh, this could be the opportunity to land a quarterback once viewed as a potential No. 1 overall pick without having to move up the board.
