Quarterback decisions reshape the middle of Round 1
No. 9 Arizona Cardinals (1-3): Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Carson Beck should get a chance to prove what he can do as a starter during the 2026 NFL season. How he performs will dictate what the Cardinals do in the 2027 NFL Draft.
If the season ended today, Dante Moore falls to them at No. 9. He is still one of the top three quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft, especially when he is playing at the top of his game.
No. 10 New York Jets (1-3) via Cowboys (2-3): Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
The Jets' secondary finally recorded an interception after a drought of 638 days without one.
No need to fear. Georgia's Ellis Robinson IV should bring plenty of interceptions to the secondary as a CB1-type cornerback.
Ranked by NFL Mocks as the second-best cornerback in the draft, Robinson gives the Jets a chance to land two potential franchise cornerstones in the top 10.
No. 11 Cincinnati Bengals (2-2): Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson
The Jets jump on Robinson IV because the Bengals also need a top cornerback.
With the Georgia star off the board, the Bengals select Clemson's Ashton Hampton, who may be considered the second-best cornerback behind Leonard Moore once the 2026 season is over.
No. 12 New York Jets (1-3) via Colts (2-2): Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
The Jets bring the Arch Manning-to-Cam Coleman connection to New York with the selection of the talented wide receiver.
Adding Coleman to the young offensive core the Jets are building will make them an interesting offense with Manning under center.
With Manning, Robinson and Coleman, the Jets could come away from the first round with three players capable of changing the direction of the franchise.
No. 13 Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2): CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame
The Steelers have other needs, but they must go quarterback with their top pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
A quarterback who could be a perfect fit under Mike McCarthy is Notre Dame's CJ Carr.

He's not the most mobile quarterback in the draft, nor does he have the biggest arm, but he's consistent, throws the ball with accuracy and plays the position with poise.
If there is a quarterback who can step in on Day 1 and run the offense, it's Carr.
No. 14 Philadelphia Eagles (2-2): Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
Lane Johnson's sudden midweek retirement, along with the trade of Cam Jurgens, all but confirms the Eagles will need to make the offensive line a priority in the 2027 NFL Draft.
NFL Mocks touched on the draft dilemma both transactions left the team in.
At this spot in the draft, LSU's Jordan Seaton can help solve that dilemma. The Eagles should also keep their eyes on Iowa's Trevor Lauck and a player like Minnesota's Greg Johnson for additional offensive line help.
No. 15 Dallas Cowboys (2-3): Yhonzae Pierre, EDGE, Alabama
The Cowboys were exposed defensively in Thursday night's loss to the Buccaneers.
That left us eyeing two emerging positions of need for the Cowboys on defense: cornerback and edge.
The addition of Joey Porter Jr. should help the secondary, so we are going edge here with the Cowboys selecting Alabama's Yhonzae Pierre to add more zip and power off the edge.
Unless the Cowboys end up in a position to take either Simmons or Stewart, Pierre will serve as the next-best option at the position.
No. 16 Detroit Lions (2-2): KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
With the top cornerbacks off the board at this spot, the Lions select safety KJ Bolden with the No. 16 overall pick.
Bolden, who is ranked as the top safety in the draft, takes care of another desperate need in the secondary.
This will leave the Lions looking to take a cornerback or even double-dip at the position on Day 2.
