2027 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers and Vikings make late quarterback moves
No. 25 Detroit Lions: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State
As good as the Lions have been this season, they could be even better if they had a secondary they could count on. The Lions find a reinforcement in Kelley Jones, a boundary corner who has the talent to morph into CB1 in Detroit.
No. 26 Jacksonville Jaguars: Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida
While Jadan Baugh hasn't looked like the most dominant running back in the nation over the last few weeks, the first-round talent is still there. The Jaguars take that talent and his high ceiling of potential with the No. 26 overall pick.
No. 27 Pittsburgh Steelers: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Mississippi
His undersized frame may keep Trinidad Chambliss out of the top 10, but his skill set and dual-threat ability inside and outside the pocket won't let him slide past the Steelers at No. 27. Playing under Mike McCarthy, he'll have an opportunity to prove he can play much bigger than his height.
No. 28 Tennessee Titans (via Chicago): Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa
The Titans use the pick acquired in the Jeffery Simmons trade to upgrade the offensive line. In Iowa's Trevor Lauck, they not only get an elite pass protector but also a mauler who will be a big addition in the run game as well.
No. 29 Denver Broncos: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
The Broncos are currently looking for tight end help. If they made a trade to secure one prior to the trade deadline, I think Jamari Johnson is a big fit in the draft. A big target at 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, Johnson would be that lateral target Sean Payton is looking for at the tight end position and a playmaker Bo Nix would love getting the ball to.
No. 30 Minnesota Vikings: Jayden Maiava, QB, USC

Unless the Vikings find a way to move up in this draft or trade for a quarterback like Justin Herbert, the pick here is Jayden Maiava late in the first round. Maiava hasn't been getting the national attention like the quarterbacks drafted ahead of him, but he's building quite a resume in 2026 with big wins over Ohio State and Penn State. Through the first nine games, he is averaging 280.4 passing yards and showing up in the big games. The Vikings should be high on him at this spot.
No. 31 San Francisco 49ers: Nick Marsh, WR, Indiana
The idea here for the 49ers is they go tackle and find their Trent Williams successor, but there will still be offensive tackle talent on the board on Day 2. Like they did in the 2026 NFL Draft, they use their first pick on a receiver by selecting Indiana's Nick Marsh. Due to the amount of injuries the team has endured at the position, getting another young receiver in the mix will be ideal for the offense, especially with Mike Evans' career nearing its end.
No. 32 Buffalo Bills: Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, LB, Notre Dame
The Bills must go defense in the first round. Whether it's a safety, linebacker or edge, the team must find game-changing playmakers on that side of the ball to complement edge rusher Greg Rousseau and linebacker Terrel Bernard. In selecting Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, they get another playmaker at the linebacker position who can stop the run and make plays in pass coverage.
