2027 NFL Mock Draft: Browns take a chance on another quarterback

No. 17 Seattle Seahawks: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas

The Seahawks could suddenly eye a quarterback in this draft, but not at this spot. The Seahawks take some of the pressure off Jaxon Smith-Njigba by drafting Cam Coleman as a potential true WR2. Although Coleman hasn't kept pace with Jeremiah Smith, he leads the Longhorns in receiving touchdowns and has the high-end talent to be another major weapon in the Seahawks' offense.

No. 18 Cleveland Browns: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

Don't forget about Dante Moore! The Oregon quarterback is shut down for the season, but his talent is undeniable. The Browns take a chance here at No. 18 in a move that could have a high reward if Moore shows he is very much the quarterback he was prior to the start of the season and certainly before entering concussion protocol.

No. 19 Carolina Panthers: Trey'Dez Green, TE, LSU

I'm sticking with tight end as the top position of need for the Panthers. In selecting Trey'Dez Green, they get another big target for Bryce Young and add a player who will be a defensive nightmare whenever he goes out for a pass, especially when he's on the field at the same time as Tetairoa McMillan.

No. 20 Dallas Cowboys (via Green Bay): David Stone, DL, Oklahoma

The Cowboys' struggles in 2026 have been highlighted by their defensive collapse. As a team that pretty much can't stop the run, some decisions will have to be made along the defensive line. A team with Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark shouldn't be pushed around. In selecting Oklahoma's David Stone, they perhaps move on from one of those players and add a player who salivates at the opportunity to stop the run.

No. 21 New England Patriots: KJ Duff, WR, Rutgers

Yes, the Patriots gave up a 2028 first-round pick for A.J. Brown and signed Romeo Doubs to a big contract, but with Brown starting to look like damaged goods, the Patriots go wide receiver and select KJ Duff at No. 21. Worst-case scenario, he is a young receiver who can grow into the WR1 role if Brown's chronic knee concerns continue to limit his production or availability. Best-case scenario, he forms a wide receiver trio with Brown and Doubs, giving Drake Maye more playmakers to get the ball to all over the field.

No. 22 New York Giants: A'Mauri Washington, DL, Oregon

I simply love A'Mauri Washington as a fit with the New York Giants. I've mentioned it before and will mention it again, with what the Giants have coming off the edge in Abdul Carter and Arvell Reese, a mountain of a man in the middle like Washington makes that defensive front seven as good as they come.

No. 23 Cincinnati Bengals: KJ Bolden, S, Georgia

Another top Georgia defender goes off the board at No. 23 with the Bengals taking safety KJ Bolden. The 6-foot-0, 195-pound safety brings top-end speed and defensive versatility to the Bengals' defensive backfield. He also brings big-play ability in coverage and in the box with his run support.

No. 24 Kansas City Chiefs: Zereoue Williams, OT, Utah

The Chiefs need playmakers, but if Patrick Mahomes doesn't have time to throw, what good will those playmakers be? With Josh Simmons' future up in the air, the Chiefs must find their left tackle of the future. Utah's Zereoue Williams is the guy. In making his debut in our first-round mock draft, the 6-foot-8, 320-pound tackle is a dominant pass protector who could settle the position for years to come.
