2027 NFL Mock Draft: Vikings take another swing at finding their QB

No. 25 Baltimore Ravens (2-1): Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson

The Ravens add another boundary cornerback with Clemson star Ashton Hampton.

With Baltimore potentially facing a decision on veteran Marlon Humphrey, drafting Hampton allows the Ravens to get younger while potentially preparing for life without their veteran corner.

Hampton would also give Baltimore a young duo of former Clemson cornerbacks alongside Nate Wiggins.

No. 26 New York Giants (2-1): Justin Scott, DL, Miami (FL)

The Giants left huge shoes to fill when they traded Dexter Lawrence prior to the 2026 NFL Draft.

They begin filling those shoes with 300-pound defensive lineman Justin Scott.

As a run-stopping machine, Scott has the versatility to play in both 3-4 and 4-3 defensive schemes. His size and versatility would complement the edge and linebacker talent the Giants already have.

No. 27 Detroit Lions (2-1): Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State

With cornerback a desperate need, the Lions get immediate help with Mississippi State star Kelley Jones.

As one of the top cornerbacks in this draft class, Jones gives Detroit length at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds along with the press-man coverage skills that could serve as the foundation of a rebuilt secondary.

No. 28 Las Vegas Raiders (3-0): Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama

The Raiders stand at 3-0 to start the 2026 NFL season and look legitimate on both sides of the ball.

Adding an explosive wide receiver like Ryan Coleman-Williams gives them the X receiver they're looking for while providing another downfield weapon for Fernando Mendoza, who may not get his opportunity until 2027.

No. 29 Buffalo Bills (3-0): Brauntae Johnson, S, Notre Dame

The Bills are hopeful rookie Jalon Kilgore can develop into a rotational safety, if not a starter, but depth will still be an issue.

Selecting Notre Dame's Brauntae Johnson gives Buffalo both depth and another player capable of eventually starting alongside Cole Bishop.

No. 30 San Francisco 49ers (3-0): Trevor Lauck, T, Iowa

The recurring theme in these early mock drafts is the 49ers finding Trent Williams' successor late in the first round.

Iowa's Trevor Lauck remains a favorite for San Francisco, unless his stock continues rising to the point where he'll be out of reach.

No. 31 Minnesota Vikings (3-0): Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State

Hey, maybe the Vikings are onto something.

Become a landing spot for quarterbacks looking to get right, win and then move on to the next guy.

Following the trade of J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota no longer has a long-term plan at quarterback, which leads to the selection of Julian Sayin.

While Kyler Murray is doing his thing and the combination of him and Carson Wentz has the Vikings at 3-0, the team will eventually need a long-term option.

NFL Mocks is saying that quarterback is Sayin.

No. 32 Kansas City Chiefs (3-0): Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon

The Chiefs are back at the top of the AFC, and they get a gift at the end of the first round with Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson.

Not only does Patrick Mahomes get another big target, but Kansas City also lands a potential Travis Kelce successor to wrap up the first round.
