The 2026 NFL Draft delivered storylines that will shape the league through the upcoming season. As rookies battle for roles, this way-too-early 2027 NFL Mock Draft looks ahead at the prospects ready to become the next stars.
With quarterbacks like Arch Manning, Dante Moore and DJ Lagway among the 27 names to know for the 2027 NFL Draft, there is a big chance QBs dominate the board next April. But in a draft considered deep with talent, positional talent like Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith, Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons and Alabama’s Ryan Williams are names to watch at the top of the board.
In this way-too-early 2027 NFL Mock Draft we keep the draft order as is with acknowledgement that this won’t be the order once the 2026 NFL season gets under way and the current rosters, 2026 draft picks included, play out on the field.
Arch Manning, Jeremiah Smith headline loaded top 10 in 2027 NFL Mock Draft

No. 1 Las Vegas Raiders: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
If the Raiders are selecting No. 1 overall again, it will mean the 2026 NFL season didn’t go well and Fernando Mendoza struggled. But, in looking at the top needs if the 2027 NFL Draft started immediately, the Raiders make Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith the top pick of the draft. The consensus top wide receiver would help ensure the Raiders aren’t selecting near the top of the board for years to come.
No. 2 New York Jets: Arch Manning, QB, Texas
The New York Jets had an outstanding 2026 NFL Draft. Unless Cade Klubnik, who they selected on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, flashes and show he can be the guy, the Jets could be one of the teams targeting quarterback talent at the top of the 2027 NFL Draft and Arch Manning may be their guy ahead of Dante Moore.
No. 3 Arizona Cardinals: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
A quarterback who would’ve been a top 10 pick had he declared in 2026, Oregon’s Dante Moore will be one of the coveted prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft. Let the Manning vs Moore competition start now. If the draft was today, Moore is the guy for Arizona.
No. 4 Tennessee Titans: Colin Simmons, ED, Texas
The Titans ended up with two first round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. With the first pick they selected Carnell Tate at wide receiver and added Keldric Faulk to the defensive line. If the Titans are drafting this high again, they add one of the top edge rushers to the mix in the 2027 NFL Draft in Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons.
No. 5 New York Giants: Ryan Williams, WR, Alabama
The Giants continue to load up on weapons for Jaxson Dart by adding Ryan Williams to the offensive arsenal. The dynamic wide receiver out of Alabama would look awesome in an offense featuring him and Malik Nabers.
No. 6 Cleveland Browns: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
The Browns take another swing at finding their franchise QB with the selection of Julian Sayin. The Browns will once again have a quarterback competition over the summer. This time Deshaun Watson and 2026 sixth-round pick Taylen Green will be a part of the competition alongside Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. If the Browns are selecting Sayin, that means none of those QBs secured the role.
No. 7 Washington Commanders: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
The Commanders will have wide receiver as a top priority in the 2027 NFL Draft. In delivering Jayden Daniels another big-time playmaker, the Commanders select Texas star Cam Coleman with the No. 7 overall pick. Coleman hauled in 56 receptions for 708 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2025. He should be primed to shine in 2026 and be one of the names at wide receiver teams will be clamoring for.
No. 8 New Orleans Saints: Dylan Stewart, ED, South Carolina
The Saints are hoping Tyler Shough really is the guy at quarterback. If he isn’t, the Saints could be selecting a QB here. But, if he continues to shine with the duo of Chris Olave and Jordyn Tyson to get the ball to, then the Saints could focus on defense with their top pick which in this mock draft is South Carolina’s Dylan Stewart who is trending as a top edge rusher in the 2027 NFL Draft.
No. 9 Kansas City Chiefs: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
The Chiefs made an aggressive move on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft by trading up and landing Mansoor Delane. They take a corner in consecutive drafts in landing Notre Dame’s Leonard Moore. The highly touted defensive back led the Fighting Irish with 5 interceptions in 2025 and was a Jim Thorpe Award finalist. Delane and Moore as a lockdown corner duo in Kansas City means trouble for quarterbacks in the AFC West.
No. 10 Cincinnati Bengals: Jordan Ross, ED, LSU
At 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, LSU’s Jordan Ross is an edge rusher to watch in 2026. With an explosive first step and athleticism that pops when watching him maneuver past defenders off the edge, Ross is a prospect who could soar up the draft board once the 2026 season begins. The Bengals have upgraded their defensive line following the trade for Dexter Lawrence. They continue to re-invent their front seven with the selection of Ross.
Mid-first-round steals and team needs

No. 11 Miami Dolphins: DJ Lagway, QB, Baylor
The Miami Dolphins hope Malik Willis is their man under center. If they take DJ Lagway here, it could signal doubts about Malik Willis’ long-term potential. It could also mean the Dolphins are adding competition to light a fire under Wills. Lagway is much more than competition, he is a QB with all the tools to be the Dolphins franchise solution.
No. 12 New York Jets, via Dallas: Ahmad Hardy, RB, Missouri
Will the Jets finally move on from Breece Hall? In this way-too-early mock draft, the New York Jets (who will have the Cowboys higher first round pick) land the best running back in Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy who totaled 1,649 rushing yards in 2025. One of the nation’s most dominant rushers in 2025, Hardy will have all eyes on him in 2026, including scouts of the Jets.
No. 13 Atlanta Falcons: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
The Falcons get their Kyle Pitts replacement with the selection of Oregon’s Jamari Johnson. At 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, Johnson who was a part of a dominant duo at tight end alongside Kenyon Sadiq could have his chance to shine as TE1 in 2026. He forecasts as one of the top TE prospects as we look ahead to 2027.
No. 14 Baltimore Ravens: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
The Ravens may have a financial decision to make regarding Ronnie Staley following the 2026 NFL season. With a cap hit spike that could reach $24 million, the Ravens could decide to move on. If they do, the top tackle could be waiting for them in Trevor Goosby. The First-Team All-SEC tackle surrendered just one sack in 2025 and would be a great option to replace Staley.
No. 15 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson
The projected top linebacker in the 2027 NFL Draft lands with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs did address the linebacker position in the 2026 NFL Draft, but this may still be a position of need next April. If it is, Brown is the right fix. With 106 total tackles in 2026, the Clemson linebacker showed off his sideline-to-sideline range as well as a high motor that makes his elite athleticism really shine.
No. 16 New York Jets, via Indianapolis: OJ Frederique Jr., CB, Miami (FL)
The Jets use the 2027 first round pick obtained in the deal for Sauce Gardner to select Miami’s OJ Frederique who is noted as one of the top corner prospects in next April’s draft. Praised for his elite speed and ideal size at the position, Frederique has CB1 written all over him.
No. 17 Detroit Lions: Koi Perich, S, Oregon
An early projected need for the Detroit Lions is at safety. Both Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph have been hampered with injuries, so the Lions may opt to add another highly talented safety to the mix. In this way-too-early mock draft, they take Oregon’s Koi Perich who will have his opportunity to really shine with Dillon Thieneman now in the NFL.
No. 18 Minnesota Vikings: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
Yes, the Vikings have Kyler Murray, Carson Wentz and J.J. McCarthy in the quarterback room. But, with Murray as more of a bridge option, the Vikings are still hopeful McCarthy can show he is the QB of the future in Minnesota. If he doesn’t, the Vikings may be a team in the hunt for QB talent in the 2027 NFL Draft. South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers could be a fit given his dual threat ability and arm talent.
No. 19 Carolina Panthers: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
The Panthers add depth behind Jaycee Horn and a potential replacement for Mike Jackson with the selection of Ellis Robinson IV. The 2025 FWAA Freshman Defensive Player of the Year is already considered one of the top cornerbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft class. The Panthers’ defense has a chance continue to build something special by adding this ball-hawk to the mix.
No. 20 Dallas Cowboys, via Green Bay: Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
The Cowboys don’t have a crucial need at tackle, but if Tyler Guyton and Terence Steele can’t avoid criticism in 2026, expect the Cowboys to move on in a big way. That big way comes in the name of Jordan Seaton who is currently projected as one of the top tackles in the 2027 NFL Draft. With his 6-foot-5, 315-pound frame and “NFL-ready” feet, the Cowboys will be lucky if he’s still around at No. 20.
Late-round contenders add future stars

No. 21 Pittsburgh Steelers : John Mateer, QB, Oklahoma
John Mateer was linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers in many of our mock drafts prior to his setback due to a late-season hand injury. In this way-too-early draft we link him to the Steelers again. Despite the team drafting Drew Allar in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Steelers will still see this as a need. This could set up a QB battle between Allar, Will Howard and Mateer next season. A battle that could steal headlines and give the Steelers their long-term answer.
No. 22 Los Angeles Chargers: Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson
The Chargers select Clemson cornerback Ashton Hampton as a long-term option at the position. In what can be their top need in the 2027 NFL Draft, the Chargers replace veteran Donte Jackson and hope the trio of Hampton, Tarheeb Still and Cam Hart reach their potential and set the tone for the secondary for years to come.
No. 23 Philadelphia Eagles: Carter Smith, OT, Indiana
The Eagles can go in any direction in 2027. The higher area of need is tackle, but that could change. With Lane Johnson entering the end of his career, the Eagles find a potential successor in Indiana’s Carter Smith, a 6-foot-5, 313-pound tackle who was named the Big Ten’s Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year.
No. 24 Jacksonville Jaguars: A’Mauri Washington, DL, Oregon
Jacksonville will continue to look for upgrades in the interior of the interior defensive line.. They do it in a big way with the selection of Oregon’s A’Mauri Washington who is the fourth Ducks player to go in the first round. The 6-foot-3, 330-pound force in the middle was solid in 2025. Expect him to be one of the coveted defensive linemen entering the 2027 NFL Draft.
No. 25 Chicago Bears: Matayo Uiagalelei, ED, Oregon
Make that five Oregon Ducks players off the board as the Chicago Bears go edge with the selection of Matayo Uiagalelei. At 6-foot-5, 272 pounds, the Ducks edge rush star would’ve been at least a early Day 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. If he can continue his destructive ability off the edge in 2026, he may go much, much higher in the 2027 NFL Draft.
No. 26 Buffalo BillsL: David Stone, DL, Oklahoma
The Bills addressed the interior of the defensive line with the selection of Zane Durant in the 2026 NFL Draft. Expect them to make the position a priority in the 2027 NFL Draft with the selection of Oklahoma’s David Stone. The outstanding run stopper totaled 42 tackles in 2025 with 8.0 of those coming for a loss. He also posted 1.5 sacks showing his ability to get some pressure up the middle.
No. 27 San Francisco 49ers: Austin Siereveld, OT, Ohio State
The 49ers surprised a bit by not taking a tackle high in the 2026 NFL Draft. They are currently in a position to make this a priority in the 2027 NFL Draft. In search of a Trent Williams successor, the 49ers select Ohio State’s Austin Siereveld with the No. 27 overall pick. The Second-team All-Big Ten offensive lineman solidified his status as the Buckeyes starting left tackle and team captain in 2025. If he can raise the bar in 2026, he will be one of the top tackles off the board.
No. 28 Houston Texans: Nate Frazier, RB, Georgia
Nate Frazier becomes the second running back off the board with this pick as the Texans select him late in the first round. A workhouse-type back who rushed for 947 yards on 173 carries in 2025 gives the Texans top tier running back they have been looking for the last couple of seasons.
No. 29 Los Angeles Rams: Mario Craver, WR, Texas A&M
The Rams will need to address wide receiver with Davante Adams hitting free agency following the 2027 NFL season. Unless they make a big splash and obtain a top-level receiver to pair with Puka Nacua either prior to or during the 2026 NFL season, they could look to fill that need in the draft. A great candidate is Texas A&M’s Mario Craver who hauled in 59 receptions for 917 yards and 4 touchdowns in his first season at Texas A&M. Despite being on the smaller side, Craver plays the game big, especially with this elite yards-after-catch (YAC) ability.
No. 30 Denver Broncos: Marcus Neal Jr., S, Penn State
After a breakout season in 2025, look for Marcus Neal Jr to continue to ascend as one of the top safeties in the nation. The Broncos are a team that might need to prioritize the safety position in 2027, and the 6-foot-1, 215-pound defensive back fits the mold with his aggressive nature in coverage and his elite play in run defense when he plays inside the box.
No. 31 New England Patriots: KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
The Patriots signed veteran safety Kevin Byard to fill the need in 2026, but beyond the upcoming season, the team will need to address the position with Craig Woodson as the only reliable starter. With the No. 31 overall pick, the Patriots take Georgia’s KJ Bolden who brings tremendous range to the defensive backfield. He does need to bulk up a bit, but his versatility and playmaking ability could intrigue many teams to take him early.
No. 32 Seattle Seahawks: Jayden Jackson, DL, Oklahoma State
The Seahawks add to the interior of their defensive line with the selection of Jayden Jackson with the final pick in this NFL Mock Draft. With Leonard Williams and Jarran Reed set to become unrestricted free agents following the 2026 NFL season, the Seahawks may opt to go younger. In Jackson, they get that youth and a player they can pair with Byron Murphy II as a top-level duo for years to come.
