The top cornerback prospects of the 2027 NFL Draft
1. Leonard Moore, Notre Dame
Leonard Moore is a highly coveted man cornerback out of Notre Dame. Listed at 6'2 and just under 200 pounds he has great size for a number one outside corner.
Moore is getting a lot of buzz early on. Reid compared him to Christian Gonzalez, and Brugler even had this to say:
"Scouts think the only thing that could keep Moore out of the top five is the potential for so many quarterbacks to go early."
2. Ellis Robinson IV, Georgia
It was actually Robinson, not Moore, that made it on all three mock drafts.
Reid had this to say about Robinson:
"He's a springy athlete with excellent ball skills (four interceptions last season) and good zone instincts. He's also fearless as a tackler and has a linebacker-like appetite for contact."
3. Kelley Jones, Mississippi State
Kelley Jones is an interesting cornerback prospect due to his size. At 6'4, 195 pounds he has a lot of length for the position.
But Jones is regarded as a good athlete who can flip his hips and trigger down to come back to the ball.
Even if he's cornerback three when it's all said and done, a good cornerback at that size will be hard to push down in the draft.
