This past week several teams notched their first wins of the season, shaking up the top ten draft order heading into Week 5 of the NFL season. One of the biggest surprises is the Baltimore Ravens, who are currently slotted to make their highest draft selection since 2016, when they took Notre Dame tackle and two time Pro Bowler Ronnie Stanley at sixth overall.
We also see some unexpected names in the mix, including Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson cracking the top five, and the Jets once again reaching for a quarterback.
1. New Orleans Saints – Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
Coming into the season, I might’ve been one of the only analysts calling Fernando Mendoza the best quarterback in college football. Now, after the opening stretch, more and more evaluators are jumping on board. The Saints need a true franchise cornerstone, and with the first overall pick, they land the top quarterback in the 2026 class.

2. New York Jets- LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
The Jets are once again in search of a quarterback after Justin Fields has struggled mightily this season. I am not completely sold on Sellers since his profile feels too similar to Anthony Richardson, as both are elite athletes but inconsistent passers. Still, draft boards across the league are high on him, and he is widely projected to go in the top three.
3. Tennessee Titans – Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
This may surprise some people since most projections have the Titans targeting a pass rusher early in the first round. That was my own prediction in my previous mock draft as well. Still, it would not be shocking if they decide to give Cam Ward more help on offense, as he has been forced to shoulder far too much of the workload this season.
4. Cleveland Browns – Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU
The Browns hope to start a new chapter with Dillon Gabriel making his first start of the year in Week Five. Still, it is hard to see him convincing Cleveland decision makers that he is the quarterback of the future. Garrett Nussmeier has gotten off to a slow start at LSU, but he has received little help from the run game and has battled injuries. Expect his NFL Draft stock to rise in the coming months as he returns to full health and impresses teams in pre-draft throwing sessions.
5. Miami Dolphins: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
The Dolphins need to rebuild their defensive secondary this offseason. While cornerback may be the bigger need, no corner in the 2026 NFL Draft warrants a top-five pick. Ohio State’s Caleb Downs, however, is one of the top prospects in the class and has the talent to quickly develop into an All-Pro.

6. Baltimore Ravens – Rueben Bain Jr, DE, Miami
Few would have predicted the Ravens holding the sixth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but after a 1-3 start, that is where they stand entering Week Five. If they do pick this high in April, expect them to target a premier pass rusher like Miami’s Rueben Bain Jr.
7. Las Vegas Raiders- Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
While the Raiders’ offensive line had its best performance of the season last week against the Bears, lingering questions remain at the position. Utah’s Spencer Fano could be an ideal fit, capable of playing either right or left tackle for Las Vegas.
8. Carolina Panthers: T.J. Parker, DE, Clemson
Clemson’s T.J. Parker, who entered the season as the consensus number two player in the NFL Draft according to NFL Mock Draft Database, should not fall too far despite a rocky start. The Panthers have struggled to pressure the quarterback this year, recording just two sacks so far.

9. New York Giants: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
Kadyn Proctor plays left tackle at Alabama, but his best position in the NFL might be right tackle. At 366 pounds, he has elite strength but lacks the mobility typically required at left tackle. This makes him a perfect fit for the Giants, who need to upgrade the right tackle spot this season.
10. Houston Texans: Francis Mauigoa, Miami
The Texans have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL this season, largely due to a struggling offensive line that has failed to open running lanes and left quarterback CJ Stroud taking consistent hits. Miami’s Francis Mauigoa is an elite athlete who could play either guard or tackle in the NFL.
