2026 NFL Mock Draft: Top picks for teams with no first-rounder

No. 47: Indianapolis Colts – A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU

The Indianapolis Colts saw their playoff hopes fade towards the end of the 2025 NFL season mostly due to injury.  With Daniel Jones nursing a torn Achilles, the Colts will have questions at quarterback, but in a draft that lacks QB talent, the Colts use their top pick to strengthen their secondary.  With the No. 47 overall pick, Indy addresses a potential need at safety with the selection of A.J. Haulcy whole high football IQ and ball skills should help a secondary anchored by a healthy Sauce Gardner.

No. 48: Atlanta Falcons – Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana

The Falcons traded their 2026 NFL Draft first round pick to be able to select two defenders in the 2025 NFL Draft.  Both of those players worked out for the Falcons and now look for the team to address the offensive side of the ball with their top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.  At No. 48, the Falcons add another wide receiver with the selection of Indiana’s Omar Cooper Jr., who will be a nice complement to London Drake in the Falcons’ offense.  With 69 receptions for 937 yards in 2025, Cooper Jr. is one of those receivers in this draft who could have successful first year in the NFL.

No. 52: Green Bay Packers – Keionte Scott, CB, Miami (FL)

The Packers traded their first-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys in the blockbuster trade landing Micah Parsons.  With their first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, they select Miami Hurricanes cornerback Keionte Scott to add both consistency at the position and also give the Packers a long-term outside cornerback who can hold down the position for years to come.

No. 56: Jacksonville Jaguars – Joshua Josephs, ED, Tennessee

The Jaguars add defensively with the selection of Edge rusher Joshua Josephs with the No. 56 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.  After a playoff run in 2025, the Jags will look to tweak the roster on both sides of the ball.  They will get that help with the return of a healthy Travis Hunter who will see most of his snaps on offense but should see naps defensively as well.  In selecting Josephs, the Jaguars add depth and bolster their pass rush adding him to the tandem of Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen.
