No. 25: Pittsburgh Steelers – John Mateer, QB, Oklahoma

John Mateer is back from injury and looking as effective as he was prior to the injury.  In selecting Mateer with the No. 25 overall pick, they get their QB of the future and a signal caller who can come in and start right away.  At the very least he will get to learn behind Aaron Rodgers if the veteran QB has another season left in him.

No. 27: San Francisco 49ers– Gennings Dunker, T, Iowa

The 49ers use the No. 27 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Iowa’s Gennings Dunker.  At 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, the Iowa star tackle is one of the top tackles in the. Nation and will help solidify the 49ers’ offensive line with his overall pass blocking and run blocking skills.

No. 28: Philadelphia Eagles – Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee

In anticipation of an eventual A.J. Brown divorce, the Eagles get their Brown replacement with the selection of Chris Brazzell II.  As an emerging wide receiver prospect, Brazzell II is a big, bodied receiver who is lighting up college football with his combination of size and athleticism.  The big receiver already has 536 receiving yards with 7 touchdowns so far this season.

No. 29: Los Angeles Chargers – Cashius Howell, ED, Texas A&M

The Chargers land Cashius Howell with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.  The Chargers could go offensive line with this pick but go with Howell who will add speed off the edge and inject youth in the front seven for the Chargers.

No. 30: Dallas Cowboys via Green Bay – Caleb Banks, DL, Florida

The Cowboys stick with defense with their second first round pick with a player who has slid in the draft.  In selecting Caleb Banks, the Cowboys get a player with top 10 talent who may slide due to a long-term foot injury.  When healthy, Banks is a force in the middle of the line who would be hard to pass up for a team near last in the NFL in total defense.

No. 30: Tampa Bay Buccaneers– Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State

The first guard off the board is Olaivavega Ioane selected with the No. 30 overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Penn State guard is one of the top guards in the nation.  At 6-foot-4, 328 pounds Ioane is a force in the interior of the offensive line and will upgrade the Buccaneers’ offensive line immediately.

No. 32: Indianapolis Colts – Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee

The 5-1 Colts are riding high with Daniel Jones at quarterback.  Although there may be still a question mark at the quarterback position long term, the Colts will address other areas of need to round out the draft.  With the No. 32 overall pick, they select Colton Hood out of the University of Tennessee.  The Colts have been solid on both sides of the ball but could use another cornerback in the secondary.  Hood is a great fit given his impactful play in both man and zone coverage.
