2026 NFL Mock Draft 6-10: Texans fall in love with a running back; Cardinals land top LB

No. 6: Tennessee Titans– Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
The Titans will be more in rebuild mode than they were a season ago. They will continue to build around Cam Ward on the offensive side of the ball, but with the No. 6 overall pick will go with the best available player which is Ohio State’s Caleb Downs. The safety is a versatile defender who can impact the game in many ways defensively. With the Titans being a team that needs star power, Downs will be a nice foundational piece in their rebuild on the defensive side of the ball.
No. 7: Las Vegas Raiders – LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
With the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Raiders will have a choice between LaNorris Sellers and Ty Simpson. The nod goes to Sellers given that he is a dual-threat quarterback with more arm talent than Simpson. The Raiders are 2-4 and still have a chance to make something out of the 2025 NFL season, but it’s obvious they need a QB who can get the ball down the field and add more spark to the offense. With Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers on the field, a QB like Sellers could add a lethal element to the Raiders’ offense as the South Carolina star can shred defenses with his arm as well as make plays with his legs.

No. 8: New York Giants– Jermond McCoy, CB, Tennessee
The Giants can go in a few different directions with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They could beef up the offensive line with this pick but will go with adding a top defensive back with the selection of Tennessee’s Jermond McCoy. In complementing the front seven, the addition of McCoy gives the Giants and outside corner who has the elite balls skills to create turnovers in the secondary and lock up opposing team’s top playmakers.
No. 9: Arizona Cardinals – Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
The Cardinals add to their defense with the selection of one of the hottest defensive players in the nation in Arvell Reese. The Ohio State star is an athletic force on the field who can get after the quarterback and drop back in coverage. In 2025, Reese already has 4.5 sacks on the season and has combined for 38 tackles for the 6-0 Buckeyes. This draft stock will continue to flourish as the season moves forward.
No. 10: Houston Texans – Jeremiyah Love, HB, Notre Dame
Offensive line will be the biggest need for the Texans, but with the No. 10 overall pick and Jeremiyah Love still on the board, this AFC South squad will take an opportunity to add another offensive weapon to the mix. The Notre Dame running back got off to a slow start in 2025 but has quickly showed he is the top running back prospect in the nation showcasing his power back running style and pass catching ability in the field. He is the type of dynamic running back who can make the Texans’ offense multi-dimensional in the impact he can make on the field. But he fits if the Texans can build their O-line.
