No. 26: Indianapolis Colts – A.J. Harris, CB, Penn State

The Colts will have plenty of quarterbacks to select from, but with the play of Daniel Jones, the Colts can afford to wait till Day 2 to add another QB to the mix.  They also have the Anthony Richardson Sr. conundrum to address.  In the meantime, they use the pick to address the secondary with the selection of A.J. Harris, an outside cornerback with great route recognition and the ideal size for a cornerback at 6-foot-1, 191 pounds.  His ability as a press man corner makes him the corner the Colts have been looking for.

No. 27: Pittsburgh Steelers – Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

A draft filled with quarterback talent will be the draft that top QB prospects fall to the end of the first round and even out of the first round.  At No. 27, the Steelers will have an interesting selection of QB talent to select from but ultimately go with Dante Moore, a dual threat type quarterback who has been tearing it up so far in the college football season.  With ideal size, a quick release and deep ball accuracy, Moore will be a prize for the Steelers’ offense.

No. 28: Detroit Lions – Connor Lew, C, Auburn

Now that everything is right in Detroit, the Lions get their next center in Auburn’s Connor Lew, who’s athleticism and physicality in the middle of the line gives Detroit a tough, physical interior line that will be led by Lew and 2025 NFL Draft pick Tate Ratledge.

No. 29: Los Angeles Chargers – Christen Miller, DL, Georgia

The Chargers add to their defensive line with the selection of Christen Miller with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.  In Miller, they get a player who is explosive with his first step and shows great agility for his size (6-foot-4, 305 pounds).  He also has the versatility to line up anywhere along the line.  His high motor and power will annoy offensive lineman, and his penetration will speed up opposing quarterbacks in the pocket.

No. 30: San Francisco 49ers– Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee

The 49ers pass up on an offensive lineman at No. 30 and go with Tennessee’s Colton Hood who is the Vols second cornerback to go in the first round.  At 6-foot, 195 pounds, Hood’s draft stock is rising and lands him in the Bay Area where he will get a chance to compete for CB1 in San Francisco.

No. 31: Buffalo Bills– Cashius Howell, ED, Texas A&M

The Bills select Cashius Howell with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Whether or not the undefeated Bills reach and win the Super Bowl, an edge rush defender will be a top need and Howell is a player who will fit the “bill”.

No. 32: Philadelphia Eagles – Daylen Everette, CB, Georgia

The Eagles round out the first round with the selection of Georgia cornerback Daylen Everette. An athletic cornerback with great ball tracking ability, Everette will join Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in a young backfield with the ability to be dominant for years to come.
