2026 NFL Mock Draft 16-20: Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes land a new outside threat

No. 16: Washington Commanders – Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn
The Commanders need a pass rusher, and they find one in the middle of the first round with the selection of Auburn’s Keldric Faulk. The 6-foot-6, 288-pound edge rusher plays the game with physicality, but his ability to play at different positions along the defensive front will make him a great young addition to any team looking for a high-end defender along the line. The Commanders get a good one here.
No. 17: Arizona Cardinals – Makai Lemon, WR, USC
Arizona Cardinals fans are still awaiting the breakout of Marvin Harrison Jr through Week 4 of the NFL season. There is still plenty of time for that, but why not add to the mix and make the big wide receiver even more effective by adding another playmaker to the mix in USC’s Makai Lemon? A dynamic slot receiver, Lemon’s lightning-quick impact on the game will bring some heat to the desert and have opposing defenses in the NFC West on their heels. The speed of Lemon and the outside, physical threat of Harrison suddenly will give the Cardinals a Batman and Robin type duo for Kyler Murrary to get the ball to, along with Trey McBride.
No. 18: Minnesota Vikings – Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
The Vikings get their cornerback with the selection of LSU’s Mansoor Delane. A versatile cornerback with a great football IQ and ball tracking skills, Delane helps the Vikings’ secondary immediately in his ability to play the game with physicality and versatility. A riser this early in the season, Delane is a cornerback to watch in the 2026 NFL Draft as his stock could continue to grow or he can fall back as more of a Day 2 selection. Either way, he is still a starting-caliber cornerback in the NFL.
No. 19: Cincinnati Bengals– Gennings Dunker, T, Iowa
With the tragedy that is the Bengals’ offensive line, they will take a tackle or best offensive lineman available in the 2026 NFL Draft. In this NFL Mock Draft, that player is Iowa’s Gennings Dunker. Although his strengths are more as a run blocker, he’s a big, strong offensive lineman who will produce protecting Joe Burrow. He will have to work on his range, but talent wise, he will help the Bengals fortify their offensive line. He is not the only solving piece they will need, however.
No. 20: Kansas City Chiefs– Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Did we really think the Chiefs would be selecting in the top 10? Well, after evening their record to 2-2, the Chiefs are back in the mix, but their needs are still obvious. They do need that big wide receiver threat for Patrick Mahomes. They get that at No. 20 with the selection of Denzel Boston. Don’t’ like the Tyquan Thornton hype fool you, in Boston they get a reliable threat who will only get better catching the ball from Mahomes.
