NFL Draft projections for the top Notre Dame Fighting Irish prospects

Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
- Height: 6’0” | Weight: 212 lbs | Age: 20
- NFL Draft projection: No. 7 overall to the Washington Commanders
The consensus top running back in the 2026 NFL Draft, Jeremiyah Love is projected as a top 10 pick. Where in the top 10 depend on the day as most teams not named the Las Vegas Raiders have been linked to the Notre Dame running back in some fashion.
After clocking a 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Love all but solidified himself as an offensive playmaker NFL offenses will love to have. In drawing comparisons to former NFL running back Reggie Bush due to his collegiate career and what he brings to the table as a dual threat running back and current Pro Bowl running back Jahmyr Gibbs, Love will enter the NFL with high expectations surround him.
While the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants can all make a case for selecting Love, the projection here is the Washington Commanders given the way they use their running backs currently. Jayden Daniels handing off to Love will be fascinating in itself, but him catching the ball from Daniels is where the QB/RB duo could flourish.
- Other teams with eyes on Love: Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants
