2024 NFL Draft top wide receiver prospects: Xavier Legette – South Carolina
Xavier Legette, a wide receiver from South Carolina, has enjoyed a breakout season in 2023. With 27 receptions for 556 receiving yards and three total touchdowns, Legette has emerged as a key player for his team. His long strides and remarkable speed make him a deep threat that few can replicate, making him one to watch for in the 2024 NFL Draft
Despite being a deep threat, Legette has shown that he can also be effective on crosser and dig routes. His game-breaking athleticism and the ability to separate from the deep crop of talented, NFL-caliber contributors make him a player to watch out for in the 2024 NFL Draft.
South Carolina will face their second biggest challenge of the season with No.21 Tennessee, where they are +12.5 point underdogs. Gamecocks Spencer Rattler will be throwing out of a deficit all game and will be close to the 42 attempts he had vs. Georgia. Leggett will be his favorite target again this week; 13 targets would be a reasonable expectation. We will see what he can do with that kind of attention.
