Top Rookie Running Back: Lightning De’Von Achane (Dolphins)
The Miami Dolphins have a gem in their roster – Achane. This running back has stunned everyone with his performance in Week 3. Not only did he contribute significantly to the team’s momentous victory, but he also proved that he is a force to be reckoned with. Achane’s speed, vision, and elusiveness have made him explode off the fantasy waiver wire, and he is a nightmare for opposing defenses for Miami’s terrifying offense.
Achane’s performance in Week 3 showcased his ability to break tackles and make big plays. His 18 carries for 203 yards and two touchdowns was one of the most impressive Rookie RB outings since Shawn Alexander. But he didn’t stop there, adding four catches for 30 yards and another pair of receiving touchdowns. With four total TDs, he left us all saying, “Bijan, who?”.
At one point Sunday, Achane reached 21.9 MPH, making him officially the fastest man in the NFL. Lightning Archane had to beat out three fellow Dolphins for that title, and we all know you can’t coach speed.
His explosive runs and ability to find holes in the defense were instrumental in the Dolphins’ victory. He has become a key player for the Dolphins, shown he has what it takes to be a standout NFL rookie, and sincerely deserved his spot as the top Rookie RB in Week.
