So, who are these promising newcomers? Let’s delve into NFLMocks’ top rookies of Week 2, starting with the quarterbacks.

Top Rookie Quarterback: C.J. Stroud (Texans)

The Houston Texans’ new play-caller, C.J. Stroud, kicks off our list. Despite a relentless onslaught from the Colts, Stroud showed resilience and tenacity, qualities that make a great leader. With 30 out of 47 pass attempts completed for 384 yards, including two touchdown passes, the Ohio State product was nothing short of promising.

Stroud’s display of poised pocket capabilities gives the Texans a glimmer of hope for a season that’s already proving challenging. His performance outshone Anthony Richardson of the Colts and Bryce Young of the Panthers, making him the standout quarterback of Week 2. With 626 passing yards (4th) on the season, is he the best passer in the AFC South? We will find out as he goes head-to-head with Trevor Lawrence and the Jags in Week 3.
