NFC East Predictions: Eagles Fly Past The Competition

1. Philadelphia Eagles (12-5)*

2. New York Giants (10-7)*

3. Dallas Cowboys (10-7)*

4. Washington Commanders (8-9)

This 2023 NFL prediction article began with chalk, so let’s end it with chalk. The Philadelphia Eagles are a cut above the rest in the NFC — plain and simple. The depth chart is locked and loaded with a heavy blend of young talent and veteran leadership. Jalen Hurts will take another step in his progression and finish what he started last season.

The Giants and Cowboys both made the playoffs in 2022, and I expect the same outcome in the NFC East this year. Brian Daboll’s crew is still rising the ranks, while Mike McCarthy’s group is ready to break through the glass barrier that has held Dallas back for years.

The Commanders are an exciting squad in their own right. Sam Howell looks like a steal, and the roster is not as devoid of talent as you would be led to believe. Still, in the heated NFC East, it is hard to see a realistic avenue to the postseason.
