2023 NFL regular season predictions: Chiefs, Eagles continue domination

NFC North Predictions: The Streak Ends In Detroit
1. Detroit Lions (10-7)*
2. Green Bay Packers (9-8)
3. Minnesota Vikings (8-9)
4. Chicago Bears (6-11)
Could it be? The Detroit Lions haven’t won a division title since 1993, when their division was still known as the NFC Central. That dubious streak will finally cease to exist in 2023, as the Dan Campbell-led squad has its sights set on a seat at the playoff table. The roster is as well-rounded as ever, paving the way for a 10-win campaign in Motor City.
I am bullish on the Packers with Jordan Love. I maintain they will be far more competitive than many expect. But still, nine or ten wins is likely the cap, keeping them just below the Lions but firmly in the wildcard chase. The reigning NFC North champions, the Vikings are the definition of mid. Their good luck in one-score contests will run out, keeping them a few victories shy of a repeat.
Admittedly, the Bears have the highest variance of any of the four. Chicago has spent the entire offseason building up the roster around Justin Fields. Tripling their 2022 win total is well within reach, but a safer (and more likely) prediction is a boost from three wins to six.
