AFC North Predictions: Lamar Jackson Is Back

1. Baltimore Ravens (11-6)*

2. Cincinnati Bengals (11-6)*

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7)

4. Cleveland Browns (8-9)

For my money, it is hard to find a more stacked division from top to bottom than the AFC North. The Bengals are fresh off back-to-back divisional titles, but their run might come to an end in 2023 with the influx of talent to the other three squads.

The Baltimore Ravens are my pick to take home the AFC North crown. Lamar Jackson received his highly-coveted contract extension, the team brought in a new playcaller in Todd Monken, and pass catchers like Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr. give Jackson an embarrassment of riches. Can the defense step up enough for it to matter? I believe so.

The Bengals will finish with the same record, but the tiebreak leans toward the Ravens. The Steelers will win ten games but fall just shy of a postseason berth in the stacked AFC. The Browns hit a home run at the 2023 NFL Draft, and general manager Andrew Berry has been busy on the free agent market, but the roster is still a year away from competing late in January.
