NFL Power Rankings, preseason mode: Top 7 running backs in the AFC East
NFL Power Rankings No. 1: Dalvin Cook brings his talents to the AFC East
If it wasn’t for the Jets signing Dalvin Cook, Stevenson would’ve held down this top spot in the NFL power rankings of AFC East running backs.
But, if it wasn’t the Jets, it could’ve been either the Patriots or Dolphins bringing Cook to the division. He is just that good and makes the Jets a very dangerous team in the conference. In what could be one of the two running back duos in the league, Cook and Hall have the talent to make life very easy for Aaron Rodgers in New York.
In fact, Rodgers and what the Jets are building was a prime factor in Hall signing with the Jets. The three-time Pro Bowler not only adds more punch to the running game, he is also a threat out of the backfield which makes him a dangerous offensive weapon for Rodgers in that Jets’ offense.
In 17 games with the Vikings last season, Cook rushed for 1173 yards on 264 carries with 8 rushing touchdowns. In the air, he added 39 receptions for 295 yards and 2 touchdowns. A force to be reckoned with in the AFC East for sure.
This No. 1 spot is his to lose.
