The Case For Odell Beckham Jr.

The Ravens dropped a bag to secure the talents of Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason. The front office wanted an established weapon for Jackson, and by golly, it got one. Whether Beckham Jr. lives up to that hefty price tag is another story, but the last time we saw a healthy OBJ, he was dominating opposing defenses en route to a Super Bowl ring with the Rams.

At best, the former LSU star turns back the clock to his Giants’ days. At worst, he demands the respect of defenses by stretching them vertically and horizontally.

The Case Against Odell Beckham Jr.

The 30-year-old has undoubtedly seen his best days already. His body has broken down multiple times in his career, and it will be 18 months between in-game snaps for the star wideout. The chance of being rusty — or getting re-injured — is high for a player of his age. Talent-wise, Beckham Jr. still has plenty in the tank. Health-wise, it is hard to trust him fully.
