Trade Target No. 2: Carolina Panthers

New head coach Frank Reich has a long history with Jonathan Taylor, having coached the star running back since he entered the league. Taylor’s injury-riddled 2022 campaign coincided with Reich’s final season at the helm for the Colts. Could they reunite further South?

The Panthers are not in the same ballpark as the Bills in terms of Super Bowl aspirations, but Carolina is an ascending roster with a chance of winning the NFC South in 2023. Led by No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young, the offense also features the recently-signed Miles Sanders and third-year player Chuba Hubbard. Neither of which matches the upside of Taylor.

If the front office wants to guarantee an easy transition for their young quarterback, adding Taylor to the fold will do exactly that. A three-headed rushing attack of Taylor-Sanders-Hubbard behind the underrated Panthers’ offensive line is a recipe for immediate success for Reich and Young.
