Fantasy Football Name To Avoid No. 4: Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals

ADP: 144 (QB23)

Regardless of how valuable it looks to put Kyler Murray’s name on your team in the 12th round — you must avoid the temptation. Murray is still recovering from a severe knee injury that ended his 2022 season. This injury is even more concerning for the former No. 1 pick, as he relies heavily on his running ability to produce high-end fantasy football numbers.

The talent around Murray is also working against him. Gone is DeAndre Hopkins. Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is no slouch, but the rest of the weapons leave much to be desired. Even worse, the offensive line is one of the worst units in the league on paper. Perhaps rookie Paris Johnson Jr. can change the time for the group, but that remains to be seen.

All in all, with no timetable for his return — and a lackluster roster around him — it is best to avoid Murray at all costs. He will only hog a roster spot, and ultimately, the juice won’t be worth the squeeze in 2023.
