6 players to avoid at your Fantasy Football draft
By Hunter Haas
Fantasy Football Name To Avoid No. 2: Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs
ADP: 86 (RB27)
Unlike other entries on this list, Isiah Pacheco is actually a decent value at his current ADP. The problem is how volatile Andy Reid is with the running back position. Similar to Pederson, Reid doesn’t care who finds the end zone — just as long as somebody does.
This leads to several vultured touchdowns throughout the season; ask any Clyde Edwards-Helaire owner. Pacheco is the front-runner to get the most goal-line carries, a commodity in fantasy football. However, burning a middle-round pick on someone that is touchdown-dependent is not wise.
Last season, Pacheco came at an absurd value when he took over the RB1 role midway through the season. Fantasy football owners scooped up the Rutgers alum, and many rode him to a playoff appearance. Now, the value is not close to the same. I am passing on Pacheco in all my drafts. Let someone else deal with the inconsistent fantasy numbers.
