No. 2: Health Is Wealth For The Saints

As I touched on briefly, the Saints desperately need better luck on the injury front. Michael Thomas has only appeared in ten total games since his breakout 2019 campaign. On top of that, starting left tackle Trevor Penning dealt with multiple major injuries, limiting him to six games as a rookie.

Assuming each guy can return to the field, these two additions are enough to push New Orleans back into the NFL playoffs and to the top of the NFC South. The defense has plenty of pieces to be a high-end unit in the league. They just need Marshon Lattimore to stay in the lineup, as the former Defensive Rookie of the Year just missed double-digit games for the first time in his career.

Wishing for health is something every NFL team does, but the Saints have a real chance at making a surprising run in the NFC South and maybe even the postseason itself. The roster is beaming with talent; do not get caught sleeping.
