NFL Free Agency: 5 most intriguing landing spots for Dalvin Cook
New York Jets
The intrigue when it comes to the New York Jets is how good they can be with the addition of Dalvin Cook to the offense.
Also, imagine them announcing the signing on HBO’s Hard Knocks.
With 39-year-old Aaron Rodgers now leading the team, adding as many weapons as possible around him seem to be the focus of the Jets who will add Young stud running back Breece Hall back in the mix to go along with a nice mix of young and veteran playmakers.
Adding Cook would give the Jets an even more stout running game to compliment a defense that keep the team in most game. The Jets still ended up in last place in the AFC East, but behind Rodgers, this is a team knocking on the door of the playoffs. Winning the Cook sweepstakes in NFL free agency may be what puts them over the hump in the AFC East.
In an interview on Sirius XM NFL Radio back in June, Cook talked about the right situation for him as he embraces free agency.
"“I wasn’t to go be the piece that can just help somebody win and get over the hump, and whatever that situation comes with,” Cook said. “…if it comes with me taking less reps but me being in the perfect situation to hold up that trophy – I don’t mind.”"
Are the Jets a Super Bowl contender? If Rodgers is motivated and Hall is fully healthy and as explosive as he was during his rookie season, the addition of a player like Cook gives them just a good a chance as anyone in the AFC East…including this next team who has Cook in their sights.
