The 2022 NFL offseason saw ten new coaches hired, and the 2023 offseason saw 5 new NFL head coaches hired.

Undoubtedly, there will be a good number of coaches who are coaching for their jobs this upcoming season.

Let’s take a look at three NFL head coaches who are on the hot seat.

NFL head coaches hot seat: Mike McCarthy, Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have an immensely talented roster. They have the quarterback, the playmakers, the offensive line, and the defense needed to be a real contender. Over three seasons with Mike McCarthy as the head coach, the Cowboys are 30-20. With back-to-back 12-win seasons, they seem to be in a great spot but have only mustered one playoff win with McCarthy at the helm.

To help them get over the hump, the Cowboys made two much-needed moves, adding Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore. They also made a shakeup at offensive coordinator, parting ways with Kellen Moore and bringing in Brian Schottenheimer, although it will be McCarthy himself calling the plays.

If they are still unable to make a significant playoff run, the next piece to go could be McCarthy.
